SITC announces a full calendar of Saw Filer Vocational Training for 2024
Simonds International’s Saw Filer Vocational Training classes at the SITC operated at full Steam in 2023 offering classes almost every month. The schedule is even more aggressive for 2024 with 14 classes on the calendar. The SITC now offers three sawmill Wide Bandsaw and Two Sawmill Gang, Board Edger, and Trim Saw classes for the reconditioning of mill run saw blades. STIC is unique in its “business approach” to training. Each of the five available classes is a stand alone class where students receive technical as well as practical skills they can take back to their mills and see results on day one of returning.
Our Showroom contains over $1 million in equipment for the use of students. And customers looking to invest in their facilities are encouraged to schedule to visit the Florence SC showroom for a detailed demonstration of the ability of our extensive range of filing room equipment. We encourage you to come, view, assess and test our state of the art sawmill Bandsaw and Circle Saw reconditioning equipment and “try before you buy!”

Tuition is $2,880 per student for the three-day class. Maximum class size is six students per session. Class features both classroom and intensive hands on learning. Strong emphasis on the economic and lumber benefits of proper filing techniques and utilizes a cross functional focus.
